Max Verstappen (Red Bull) won his first pole in F1 by winning qualifying for the Hungarian GP at the Hungaroring. The Dutchman set the lap record in 1’14”572 and was 18 thousandths ahead of the Mercedes de Valtteri Bottas. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) was further behind with 2 tenths behind. The championship leader beat the Ferrari de Charles Leclerc et Sebastian Vettel.
Pierre Gasly (Red Bull) is only 6th, almost 9 tenths behind his teammate. French precedes McLaren de Lando Norris et Carlos Sainz Jr. Romain Grosjean (Haas) and Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo) completed the Top 10.
