While the session was placed under a red flag following Stoffel Vandoorne's stop on track (McLaren), Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) keeps the chronometric reference for this day from Tuesday to mid-session in the afternoon.

The German, who has reached the milestone of 100 completed laps, remains in the lead thanks to his time set this morning in 1'20″396 and still leads Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) of two tenths. Max Verstappen (Red Bull) is still in third position with 113 cumulative laps.

The main change in the hierarchy comes from the entry into the top 5 of Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), author of the fifth time behind Pierre Gasly (Toro Rosso) in 1’21″214. Carlos Sainz (Renault) and Lance stroll (Williams) started their day after the break and are in the last two provisional ranks.
