One more that makes seven! Using a brand new power unit on its Alfa Romeo, Guanyu-Zhou joined the six other drivers already penalized on the grid for the Belgian Grand Prix.
The Chinese exceeded its season quotas for the first time by installing a 4th internal combustion engine (ICE), a 4th turbocharger (TC), a 4th MGU-H, a 3rd electronic control unit (EC) and a 5th gearbox. His position at the back of the grid will be determined by his ranking during qualifying, which will take place from 16 p.m. (and to be followed in live text on AUTOhebdo).
The two Alfa Romeos will therefore start at the back of the grid, with Zhou joining Bottas among those penalized. At the same time, Charles Leclerc also used new elements, including a 5th internal combustion engine, a 5th turbocharger, a 5th MGU-H and a 9th set of exhausts. Max Verstappen has changed its battery and exceeds the limit of two authorized energy storage elements.
