24 Hours of Nürburgring – Audi stands out

Phoenix Racing's Audi R8 LMS ultras dominated the free practice session for the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. The crew of the n°4 composed of Christopher Haase – Christian Mamerow – René Rast – Markus Winkelhock achieved the best time in 8'24″237 ahead of the sister car n°3 driven by Marc Basseng - Marcel Fässler - Frank Stippler - Laurens Vanthoor in 8'25″223 and the Nissan GT-R GT3 of the Nissan GT Academy Team RJN of Nick Heidfeld – Lucas Ordóñez – Florian Strauss – Alex Buncombe, 3rd in 8'27″238.

Note the setbacks of the Mercedes SLS of Team Black Falcon n°1, with the exit of Andreas Simonsen at turn n°1.
