Terrible news for DS Events and Pôle Position 81. Returning from the Easter Cups in Nogaro, five of their cars, all Mitjets, were burned by the fire in the trailer of the truck which transported them on the A68 motorway, our reports report. colleagues from La Dépêche.
Two of these Mitjets belonged to DS Events, the company managing the circuit, and the other three to the Pôle Position 81 team.
The fire started after a tire burst when the truck was driving near the town of Parisot (Tarn) indicates La Dépêche. The driver only had time to break away and thus avoid his cabin catching fire.
Both teams must now buy back as many cars in the hope of being ready for the next round at Magny-Cours (May 7-9).
