The free practice session for the 1000 km of Paul Ricard, counting towards the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, saw AKKA-ASP set the best time thanks to Raffaele Marciello. The resident of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo n°88 from the Tarn team, shared with Dani Juncadella and Jules Gounon, completed its reference lap in 1'53″942.
Mercedes even achieved the double with second place for the Winward Racing example of Philip Ellis, beaten by 222 thousandths by Marciello, but best time in Silver. Christopher Haase places the No. 8 Audi R3 LMS GT25 Evo – Saintéloc Racing in third place in the same time as the Mercedes – Winward Racing.
The top 5 is completed by McLaren 720S GT3 n°38 – Jota de Barnicoat – Bell – Wilkinson and the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo n°30 – Team WRT de Pull – Goethe – Hall.
La Ferrari 488 GT3 n°93 – Chris Froggatt's Tempesta Racing dominates the Pro-Am category with the 11th fastest time overall. Prequalifications will begin at 20 p.m. in the Var.
