This weekend begins in Monza, Italy, the Blancpain Endurance Series. Five rounds, four of three hours plus the 24 Hours of Spa make up this new championship in which the Vitaphone team, now called Vita4One, five-time winner of the FIA GT, will compete. Michael Bartels' team will have to be wary, among others, of the Sofrev-ASP team, which like it hires Ferrari 458 for drivers as talented as Julien Jousse, Jérôme Policand or Patrice Goueslard. It will also be necessary to keep an eye on the Aston Martin DBRS9 of the Hexis AMR Tricolores, who notably count in their ranks Frédéric Makowiecki and Yann Clairay, and on the Audi WRT, who will be able to count on the talent of Stéphane Ortelli, Filipe Albuquerque, Andrea Piccini and Marcel Fässler to lead them to victory .
Many teams having made their mark in recognized championships have opted for the Blancpain Endurance Series this year. The first edition promises to be exciting.
