Michael Bartels takes his first pole of the season at Magny-Cours. The pilot of the Ferrari F458 Italia n°29 of Via4One set the best time of the last session with a time of 1:39:219, ahead of the Audi R8 LMS WRT of Stéphane Ortelli, who failed by only 31 thousandths of a second.
