While scheduled to participate in Saturday's race at Kansas Speedway for the 34th round of the 2021 Xfinity Series season, Carson Ware was suspended by organizers. The American pilot was arrested by police earlier this week for assault on a woman and damage to personal property. Rick Ware's son will have a hearing on November 19. For Saturday's race, he will be replaced by Garrett Smithley at the wheel of the No. 17 Chevrolet.
