Daniil Kvyat soon to drive a NASCAR at Circuit of the Americas

Like Kamui Kobayashi, the former pilot of F1 Daniil Kvyat will also ride in NASCAR for the Austin round. Unlike the Japanese, the Russian will drive in the Xfinity Series next Saturday March 23 and not in the Cup Series on March 24. He will take the wheel of the No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro of the SS-Greenlight Racing team, as in 2022 for the Charlotte round where he finished fifteenth.

In the past, the man with three podiums in 110 F1 Grands Prix between 2014 and 2020 also took part in three rounds of the NASCAR Cup Series in 2022. So with the Hezeberg team and the Toyota n°26, he had signed mixed results due to his inexperience, namely two 36th places and one 39th place.

At the same time, the 29-year-old Russian is continuing his career in WEC with Lamborghini in the Hypercar category. For the first round of the season in Qatar in February, he and his teammates finished fifteenth.
