Enrique Bernoldi allowed the Sangari Team Brazil Corvette, already faster in the two practice sessions on Friday, to conquer pole position at Paul-Ricard, at Le Castellet, where the penultimate round of the championship is being contested. FIA GT. The No. 8 Corvette beat the three Maserati MC12s from the Vitaphone team and the three No. 6, No. 3 and No. 4 Corvette C9.Rs. Olivier Panis, at the wheel of the Ferrari 550 Maranello, made the eighth fastest time in qualifying.
In GT2, it was the #430 Ferrari 50 from the AF Corse team which took pole position.
