The qualifying race for the French round of the FIA GT1 world championship did not necessarily smile on the French drivers.

From the start of the race, Antoine Leclerc et Yann Clairay were delayed by problems with their #10 Belgian Racing Ford GT. Already this morning, the duo was unable to take part in qualifying. At the house of Hexis AMR, L?Aston Martin DB9 n°3 from the Dusseldorp-Piccione duo ended its race in the rail on its 3rd lap, while the sister car took the checkered flag in 6th position. A performance to be commended when we know that Andrea Piccini and Christian Hohenadel started from the back of the starting grid after seeing their qualifying times canceled by the stewards following a mix of tires between the two cars. Associated with the Belgian Maxime Martin, Frederic Makowiecki brings his No. 41 Marc VDS Racing Team Ford GT to 5th place, while the DKR Engineering Corvette Z06 of Michael Red et Dimitri Enjalbert finished 8th.

Let's hope that the championship race will smile more on the French.
