Disappointment for Frédéric Caprasse (Peugeot 308 RC – JSB), winner of the first race of the Magny-Cours weekend in the French FFSA Tourism Championship, but penalized by 18″ on his race time and ten places on the starting grid for race 2, for not having respected the racing route at turn no. 16.
A sanction which effectively offers victory to Steven Palette (BMW M2 CS Racing – VSF Sports) ahead of Lucas Frayssinet (Alpine A110 Cup – Chazel Technologie Course) and Pierre-Arnaud Navarro (Peugeot 308 RC – JSB), with Caprasse finally finishing 4th.
The latter will also be penalized with a 10-place penalty on the grid for race 2, thus losing the benefit of his pole acquired this Sunday morning.
