Vanina Ickx will participate with the Belgian Racing team in the Belgian round of the FIA-GT1 world championship which will take place on the Zolder circuit on April 10. She will drive a Ford GT that she will have had the opportunity to take in hand during the test session organized before the opening round of the championship which will be run on March 26 on the Abu Dhabi circuit.
“It’s been a long time since I drove a GT and I’m curious to see what it will be like when I race in Abu Dhabi next week” she said. “Until then, it's difficult for me to set a goal for the Zolder round. The team has experience, the car is competitive and I therefore hope not to be too far from the front. GT1 races are always very exciting to watch. That’s why I can’t wait to be in Zolder.”
