Vanina Ickx will start her FIA-GT season in Zolder. The Belgian driver was unable to start the opening round in Abu Dhabi. The difference in size with his teammate Antoine Leclerc made it impossible to adjust his seat. For the same reasons, Leclerc is this time sacrificed at the expense of Vanina, who plays at home. She will therefore share the wheel of the Belgian Racing Ford GT Matech with Mathias Beche.
“I’m really looking forward to racing this weekend in Zolder, underlines Vanina. The level of the GT1 World Championship is really tough, with only professional teams and competitive drivers, which means it won't be easy for us this weekend. As we saw in Abu Dhabi, a lot can happen in the race, so we will be a bit lucky if we stay out of trouble this weekend. I hope that the collaboration between Belgian Racing and Marc VDS will allow us to find the rhythm we need to have a good race in Zolder. »
