Peter Dumbreck and Michael Krumm, in the No. 23 Nissan Sumo Power, won the Portimao qualifying race, finishing the race 2??4 ahead of the No. 12 Maserati MC1 of reigning champions Michael Bartels and Andrea Bertolini. Starting from pole, the No. 13 Phoenix Racing Corvette (Hennerici / Margaritis) finished third.
For his debut, Julien Jousse, aboard the No. 11 Corvette of the Mad Croc team alongside Xavier Maassen, finished seventh. The French crew of theAston Martin DB9 n°9 of Hexis AMR, composed of Yann Clairay and Frédéric Makowiecki, ranks tenth.
