One year later, he's back! Kamui Kobayashi will drive again NASCAR after participating in a round in 2023 on the Indianapolis road course.

For his first in NASCAR at Indianapolis, the 37-year-old driver, who started 28th, finished 33rd after a complicated race where he experienced two spins. At the time, before this round, Kamui Kobayashi declared: “It’s my dream, actually. It's a major sport in the United States, and running in Europe, I never had the chance or opportunity to race in NASCAR. I think it will be difficult for me because it is unlike anything I have experienced during my career. »
Kobayashi won the 24 Hours of Le Mans for Toyota in 2021 and has never finished lower than third since 2018. He has finished on the podium six times in eight appearances in the iconic endurance race.
