The Funyo in support of the FFSA GT in 2019

SRO Motorsports today confirmed the arrival in the French Circuit Championship of the Sprint Cup by Funyo-Sport Proto.

The series, usually organized as part of VdeV Endurance Series, will reinforce a platform already welcoming the FFSAGT, Peugeot 308 Racing Cup, the Renault Clio Cup France, la Porsche Carrera Cup, le Championnat de France FFSA F4 ou encore l’Alpine Europa Cup.

The Sprint Cup by Funyo-Sport Proto will take place over five of the six rounds of the FFSA GT, with the addition of a final whose destination remains to be confirmed. Michelin will be the tire partner of the series.

The French Championship will thus present a complete panel of motorsport.”

The French Circuit Championship is indeed returning to prototypes for the first time since 2016, with the missed experience of the LM P3-GT3 mix. It now remains to be seen the significance of the Funyo's departure from the VdeV meetings, the category being one of the pillars of the events organized by Eric Van de Vyver.
