The Macau Grand Prix (November 19-22) will host the first edition of the FIA GT World Cup. Manufacturers who wish to get involved in this event have until September 6 to apply. Each candidate will be able to race three cars meeting FIA GT3 regulations for a field which must include a total of 28 cars.

Each chosen manufacturer will then have to select the team(s) and the drivers will be lined up for the occasion. This process will end on September 25. Participants must compete in a series recognized by the FIA and based on the FIA GT3 technical regulations to be eligible.

We also know the format of the weekend, which resembles that of a Blancpain Sprint Series meeting:

– Thursday: Free practice 1

– Friday: Free practice 2 and qualifying

– Saturday: Qualifying race

– Sunday: Main race
