The first qualifying session of the Macau GT Cup highlighted the ambition of Lucas Di Grassi and his Ferrari AF Corsica. The Brazilian, in 2'22"305, beat Edoardo Mortara, outgoing winner of the event, by 1"222. The Audi driver will perhaps be able to react with his R8 LMS in the second session scheduled for Saturday... if the weather remains dry despite the threat of rain like today.

Romain Dumas unfortunately went out on his first all-out with the Team Spark Porsche. A touch not too important but with a pierced radiator preventing it from continuing. The Porsche driver can pray for good weather tomorrow, otherwise he will start from the last row.
