Three months after extending his contract with Brad Jones Racing, Nick Percat announced his departure from the team at the end of this season. Arriving at BJR in 2017, the Australian driver published a press release to explain his decision. “It was a difficult decision to make. Brad always supported me and had confidence in me to do the job for the team. I can only thank him and the whole team for the last five years.” Regarding his future, Nick Percat remains evasive. “As for my plans for next season, I will announce them in due time.”
Brad Jones Racing has already found Nick Percat's replacement for next season. This is Andre Heimgartner, currently pilot for Kelly Whole grained Racing. “Joining such a legendary team with such great people is an incredible opportunity and challenge that I look forward to,” enthuses the New Zealander.
At the completion of the 2021 Supercars Championship season, Nick Percat will leave Brad Jones Racing.
BJR continues to focus on the rest of the 2021 Championship with Nick and we will be working hard to finish the season strongly. #HELLO pic.twitter.com/bvsnEE6FMA
