It was the No. 40 Ford GT of Bas Leinders and Maxime Martin that set the best time (1:44:446) in the free practice session at Portimao, in the GT1 World Championship. Michael Bartels and Andrea Bertolini (No. 12 Maserati MC1, 1:44) finished second, ahead of the Nissan GT-R of Peter Krumm and Michael Dumbreck (628) and the No. 1 Ford GT. by Neel Jani and Nicolas Cheers (1?44??710). Note the seventh place of the French crew composed of Frédéric Makowiecki and Yann Clairay on the?Aston Martin DB9 n°9 from Hexis AMR.
