Si le Finlandais Heikki Kovalainen retrouvera sa Lexus RC F du Team SARD au côté de Kohei Hirate, plusieurs changements de duo sont à noter.
New Zealander Nick Cassidy, All-Japan Formula 3 champion, will compete in Team Tom's with Daisuke Ito, taking the place of Briton James Rossiter, lined up with Ryo Hirakawa in the No. 37 Lexus RC F from Team KeePer Tom's. The latter should also evolve into ELMS in 2016.
Andrea Caldarelli leaves Team Tom's to join the Team Le Mans, where he will be associated with Kazuya Oshima in place of Yuji Kunimoto, now lined up in the Team WedsSport Bandoh car alongside Yuhi Sekiguchi. No change, however, for the Zent Cerumo duo, Ishiura – Tachikawa.
