Jamie Whincup and Paul Dumbrell gave Triple Eight a second consecutive success in the Sandown 500 in Victoria. The crew of the No. 1 Holden won ahead of the Holden Racing Team Commodores, with the No. 22 of James Courtney and Greg Murphy preceding the No. 2 of Garth Tander and Warren Luff on the podium. The #888 Holden (Triple Eight) of Craig Lowndes and Steve Richards and the #16 Ford of Scott Pye and Ash Walsh (Wilson Security Racing) complete the top five. Scott McLaughlin and Alexandre Prémat took eighth place in the GRM Volvo.
