Valentino Rossi was to be the headliner of the 12 Hours of the Gulf, this Saturday January 8. The Italian legend will ultimately not be at the start of the event since he is in contact with a person positive for Covid-19, his team announced. The nine-time world champion Moto GP will be replaced by his compatriot David Fumanelli in the Ferrari 488 GT3 n°46 of Kessel Racing in the colors of Doctor. He will team up with Luca Marini and Alessio Salucci, fourth overall and third in the Pro-Am category last year. 15 cars are planned on the starting grid of the Yas Marina circuit (Abu Dhabi).
