After Léna Bühler, ART GP has revealed the identity of the 2nd driver entered for the launch of the F1 Academy, the new 100% female promotional championship launched by the Formula 1. It will be the German Carrie Schreiner who will occupy the 2nd wheel within the French team.

The young 24-year-old pilot shone during her time at karting, becoming the very first woman to win the 2012 ADAC Kart Masters in the X30 Junior category. After an unsuccessful stint in German Formula 4, Schreiner enjoyed some success in GT and Endurance being crowned twice in 2018, once in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East (Pro-Am) and another time in the DMV Gran Turismo Touring Car Cup (GT3 class). In 2021, the Völklingen native won the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in her category, alongside Pippa Mann, Célia Martin and Christina Nielsen.

“It’s a great honor to drive for ART Grand Prix, rejoiced Carrie Schreiner. Few teams have the track record they have, or have been champions as many times. I'm proud to join their roster and excited about what we can accomplish together. I think it's an important step for F1 to have its own championship for women. It will definitely be fun to drive the car with the new aero and with a team like ART. I have the best conditions necessary to perform well. I will give everything to get the best results and fight for the first places. »

The 100% women's championship will begin its inaugural season this year, with 7 meetings pitting 15 drivers from five different teams against each other. Alongside ART GP, other structures already established in other promotion formulas will be present: Campos Racing, Rodin Carlin, PREMA Racing and MP Motorsport. The schedule is not yet known.
