After Gabriele Mini (Hitech GP) and Kaylen Frederick (ART Grand Prix) on Wednesday, it was Gabriel Bortoleto (Trident) and Josep Maria Martí (Campos) who “dominated” the debates this Thursday on the Jerez circuit, in the south of Spain.
From the start, Gabriel Bortoleto set the pace by largely beating the 1'30"500 set the day before by Gabriele Mini. Very fast, the Brazilian clocked 1'29, almost a second behind his Italian counterpart. The afternoon was much calmer in Andalusia where the drivers mainly worked on the long stints. After 554 hours of driving, it was Josep Maria Martí who finished in the lead with a best lap of 3'1"31.
Present in Jerez to ride under the colors of Carlin this Thursday, as well as this Friday, Hadrien David respectively ranked 20e and 12e with no less than 89 laps completed. A very busy first day full of lessons for the Frenchman at the wheel of a F3.
