Creation of the Eurocup Clio in 2011

Renault Sport has also planned a new Championship for the Clio Cup in 2011, by creating the Eurocup Clio. After a successful test this season at Hockenheim during the World Series by Renault meeting, the Eurocup Clio will be present at four WSR meetings (at Spa-Francorchamps, from April 30 to May 1, at the Nürburgring from June 18 to 19, at Paul-Ricard HTTT from September 17 to 18 and on the Circuit de Catalunya from October 8 to 9) with two races on the program for each meeting.

The drivers taking part in the race (up to 48 cars) will all be entered in the Clio Cup National Championships. The winner of the Eurocup Clio will be offered a test drive in the Mégane Trophy and will receive a prize of €60 to participate in the Eurocup Mégane Trophy Championship or a Formula Renault 000 Championship. As for the winner of the Junior category, he will be offered registration fees for the 2.0 Eurocup Clio season.
