German David Schumacher will return to the wheel of Formula 3 at Imola with his former team to replace Ayrton Simmons.

David Schumacher replaces Ayrton Simmons at Imola in F3

He is a regular at the house. In 2020, David Schumacher had completed the first of his two years of Formula 3 within Charouz Racing System. In great sporting difficulty, the Czech team did not allow the son of Ralf Schumacher to shine. After an encouraging year in 2021 at Trident (11th, 1 victory, 2 podiums), the German has since decided to join DTM with Mercedes for the 2022 season. But before starting the season across the Rhine, David Schumacher will treat himself to a little freelance in Formula 3 at Imola (April 22-24) in his former team, replacing the Briton Ayrton Simmons, of whom we do not know the reasons for the absence. One thing is certain, the Briton had already been replaced by Schumacher during the Barcelona tests last weekend.
