Winner of the main race of the last FIA meeting F3 at Castellet (June 20), Australian Jack Doohan (Trident) dominated the only free practice session of the Spielberg meeting this Friday morning. The Aussie beat the Briton Olli Caldwell (+0 »225) and the American Jak Crawford (Hitech/+0 »229).
For his part, championship leader Dennis Hauger (Prema) set the 7th fastest time. Fifth for a large part of the session, Victor Martins (MP Motorsport) did not come out at the end of the session, when everyone had considerably improved. He finished 20th.
The other tricolor who plays at the forefront, Clément Novalak (Trident), set the 27th time. Reshad de Gerus (Charouz) punctuates these tests in 30th place. Note the encouraging 6th place of Monegasque Arthur Leclerc (Prema).
