Double pole position for Esteban Masson at Magny-Cours

We won't go so far as to say that Esteban Masson has taken a big step towards the title, but he has in any case put all the chances of scoring big points in the race on his side. In qualifying this Saturday, under beautiful sunshine despite cool temperatures, the Franco-Canadian took the two poles of the last meeting of the F4 season – his eighth and ninth of the year – and earned the right to start in leading position in C1 and C3, also thanks to his best second time. As during the second meeting of the season which had already been held in Nièvre, Masson outclassed his opponents by inflicting at least 4 tenths on his closest pursuers.

His rival for the title Macéo Capietto was unable to do better than fourth time, but he will start 3rd in C2 thanks to his second time. In any case, he will be condemned to have excellent races, which he has already done several times this season. As a reminder, Esteban must score at least 41 points and score more than his direct opponent to be champion. If one of these two conditions is not met, then Macéo will be titled. A regular on the front row for two rounds, Alessandro Giusti, the best Junior in the championship, once again invited himself there by setting the second fastest time of the session. He will start 4th in Race 3. Race 1 will take place this Saturday at 15:45 p.m. For his part, Elliott Vayron will start 10th in the two main races after his victories at Monza and Le Castellet. For his big debut, the 2020 OK-J French champion Enzo Peugeot he signed the 12th time.
