No, the 2022 seasonIndyCar will not happen without Ed Carpenter. Accustomed to partial programs since 2014 where he is used to competing in around 5 races per year, the veteran has decided to do it again this year.
As has already been the case for several campaigns, Ed Carpenter will compete in all the rounds on ovals, for a total of 5 races in 4 weekends over the year: Texas (March 20), Indy 500 (May 29), Iowa (double-header, July 23 and 24) and Madison (August 20).
And you don't change a winning team. The 40-year-old American will indeed represent his own team, Ed Carpenter Racing, on track with the No. 33.
