Jérez Tests – Day 2: Leclerc dominates the morning session

Waiting for 2e round of the season at Imola (April 22-24), the F3 set up his base camp in Jérez for the 2e burst of official tests. After a first day marked by rain and driving conditions that were far from ideal, the drivers were able to ride in the dry this Wednesday.

If the first part of the session took place in the wet, the competitors were able to put on slick tires to achieve some more representative times than those of the day before as they approached the checkered flag.

Leading the morning session with a lap of 1'30"671, Victor Martins (ART Grand Prix) saw Arthur Leclerc (Prema) gain the upper hand. The Monegasque completed his fastest lap of the Jérez circuit in 1'30"628, ahead of the Frenchman, ultimately 4e, only 43 thousandths. Zak O'Sullivan (Carlin) and Caio Collet (MP Motorsport) came between the two men. Franco Colapinto (VAR) completed the Top 5, just over 2 tenths behind the best mark.
