Marcus Armstrong (Prema) set the best time on the first day of FIA testing Formula 3 on the Paul-Ricard circuit in Var. The pilot supported by Ferrari Driver Academy beat outgoing German Formula 4 champion Lirim Zendeli (Charouz) by three tenths and the Russian Robert Shwartzman (Prema) by four tenths.
