Christian Lundgaard (ART GP) won his first pole of the season by winning qualifying for the F3 on the Hungaroring (Hungary). Jüri Vips (Hitech GP) and Max Fewtrell (ART GP) were the closest with a tenth behind. Championship leader Robert Shwartzman (Prema Racing) completed the second row ahead of Trident drivers Niko Kari and Pedro Piquet and saw his direct rival Jehan Daruvala (Prema Racing) only take 17th position.
