While Antonin Charouz, Jan's father, has acquired the ISR team, which will take part in the next Formula championship Renault 3.5 Series, Jan Charouz will not ride with ISR! The Czech driver will team up with Walter Grubmüller Jr within the P1 Motorsport team, owned by Walter Grubmüller Senior!
In 2007, P1 Motorsport won the drivers' championship thanks to Giedo van der Garde. Last year, the team was represented in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series by James Walker and Daniil Move. A year during which the P1 factory caught fire during the summer.
Jan Charouz is champion Le Mans Series with Aston Martin in 2009, while Walter Grubmüller finished in second place in the championship F3 British. He had failed against Daniel Ricciardo, winner in F3 UK, and who will compete in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series season with Tech 1 Racing.
