The fight for the title rages on in Formula Renault 3.5 Series and it is finally during the last round of the World Series by Renualt, in Barcelona, that everything will be decided. Esteban Guerrieri (ISR), deprived of his victory in the first race on Saturday due to non-compliance of his car, won the second race of the weekend. The Argentinian has doubled Daniel Ricciardo (Tech 1 Racing) in the final moments of the race and scored 15 points which allowed him to still believe in the title. Mikhail Aleshin (Carlin) having finished out of the points, the general classification is tighter than ever: Aleshin has 116 points, Ricciardo 113, Guerrieri 100.
Jean-Eric Vergne (Tech 1 Racing) completes this second podium of the weekend, taking third place. The day after his first victory in the FR 3.5 Series, the Frenchman from Red Bull Junior Team confirms its qualities of adaptation to its new mount.
