Jean-Éric Vergne recovered victory in the second race at Monza on the green carpet. The Frenchman complained to the CSAI Appeal Tribunal about his ten-second penalty imposed for crossing the track limits.

The Carlin driver recovers the victory at the expense of Daniel Ricciardo (ISR) and Alexander Red (Fortec Motorsports), but above all he recovers from the gap on the leader Robert Wickens (Carlin) by falling back to 24 units.
