FRECA – Gabriele Mini dominates qualifying again

After his penalty in Race 1, Gabriele Mini confirms his good results at Imola. Already the author of pole position on Saturday, the Italian strikes again in Qualifying and sets the best time, 1'39″294. Starting in the second group, Gabriele Mini took advantage of the track improvements to beat the time of Tim Tramnitz, best time in the first group with 1'39″559.

Gabriele Mini will therefore start in 1st position this afternoon alongside Tim Tramnitz. Dino Beganovic, Michael Belov and Gabriel Bortoleto complete the top 5. Note, Paul Aron made a mistake at Tamburello preventing the drivers in the second group from doing a final flying lap. The incident caused a red flag which ended the qualifying session.

The French were not all successful in this second qualifying session. Hadrien David gains 4 places compared to his qualification on Saturday and will start in 7th position. Owen Tangavelou will start in 14th position on the grid. Maceo Capietto who dominated the first Free Practice session finished 13th in his group.
