James Wharton in F4 Italy with Prema

After Kimi Antonelli, the Mercedes protégé, it's the turn of a young pilot Ferrari to be officially announced in Formula 4 at Prema. Australian James Wharton, winner of the Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA) Scouting World Finals in 2020, will indeed drive in Formula 4 Italy at Prema in 2021. 

These will be the great debut of the Aussie in car, he who brilliantly led a career as a kart driver in Australia and Europe. Aged 15, he notably won in SKUSA Supernationals in 2018 and 2019 in the United States. Wharton took advantage of 2021 to prepare for the big leap in 2021.

“We were really impressed with Wharton's attitude, explained the founder of the Angelo stable Red in a statement. We have already had the chance to see it in action in testing and we are confident that it will be fast from the start. There will be a lot of parameters for him to learn, and we want to support him as best we can in this regard.
