No, Jonny Edgar will not go F2 to replace Jüri Vips. If some might have believed in a promotion when he met his fans for this Friday via a tweet on Thursday evening, the Briton finally announced his return to competition in F3 after more than two months of absence.

Last April, Jonny Edgar, affected by Crohn's disease, was forced to put aside his racing career. After a period of rest and fitness, the Englishman received the green light from the doctors to return to the circuits.

At Silverstone, Jonny Edgar will recover the No. 1 car he left to his replacement Oliver Rasmussen. In two rounds (Imola and Barcelona), the Dane was only able to score 4 small points thanks to his 7th place in the Sprint Race at Imola.
