The grid of the F1 Academy continues to fill up, and MP Motorsport joins Campos Racing and Rodin Carlin in the teams having completed their crews. Emely de Heus therefore joins the Dutch team, alongside Amna and Hamda Qubaisi.

The two Emirati sisters are therefore joined by the 20-year-old Dutch driver, for whom the MP Motorsport structure is familiar. She made her debut in car in the team by participating in the F4 Spain championship in 2021, winning the Female Trophy in the process. Like several of her competitors in the new 100% women's championship organized by F1, De Heus is a defector from the WSeries. With Sirin Racing, she achieved her best result during the first round of the 2022 season in Miami (United States): 10th place.

And De Heus is even more familiar with the environment that awaits her since she participated, also with MP Motorsport, in the FRMEC at the start of the year.

« It's great to be back with MP, it's like a second home for me, declares the pilot. I had a great time with MP in 2021, and with the experience I gained with them, I can't wait to put it to good use in my first F1 Academy season. I'm really looking forward to starting the first round at Red Bull Ring in April, and I want to ride even more at home, in Zandvoort, in June. »

« I am very happy to welcome Emely to MP, adds Sander Dorsman, team principal of the Dutch garage. She has shown that she is a real asset in 2021, and I have no doubt that she will perform well in this first year of F1 Academy. With five of the teams that dominate the single-seater pyramid through to Formula 1 supporting the F1 Academy, the future looks bright for the sport, and Emely will have a well-deserved role. »

Emely de Heus and her two teammates will line up against the crews of ART Grand Prix, Campos, Rodin Carlin and PREMA from the first round of the season in Spielberg (Austria), on April 28 and 29.
