MP Motorsport formalizes the arrival of Jonny Edgar

Jonny Edgar goes on the attack again Formula 3. The Briton will experience his third season in the championship, with a third different team. After Carlin in 2021 and Trident in 2022, the 18-year-old joins MP Motorsport for the 2023 financial year. The Workington native got a taste of the team when he joined the Dutch team for the three days of the post-season test in Jérez last September. It will team up Mari Boya, who was earlier announced as a driver for MP Motorsport in F3, and a third driver who has not yet been announced.

4 German Formula 2020 champion Jonny Edgar has had an eventful first two years in Formula 3 since 2021. His second season with Trident was disrupted by health reasons. He was even forced to leave the championship temporarily, suffering from Crohn's disease. Finally returning mid-season, the Briton helped Trident secure 2nd place in the team championship. Absent from 4 races, Edgar finished the 2022 campaign in 12th place among the drivers.
