He is the man of the moment. Winner of 2e race at Fuji after starting from pole position a fortnight ago, Tomoki Nojiri once again dominated qualifying, this time at Suzuka where the 3 round of the season is taking place.
In the fight with Kenta Yamashita (Kondo Racing), the Team Mugen driver finally gained the upper hand over his rival thanks to a final attempt completed in 1'36"352 which allowed him to relegate his opponent to just under one tenth. A performance which gave him his 2e pole position of the year.

Back in Super Formula for a full season, Sacha Fenestraz (Kondo Racing) has long claimed pole position at Suzuka. Author of the best time in Q1, the Franco-Argentinian was ultimately unable to overtake Tomoki Nojiri, after whom he was almost 2 tenths behind.
Eliminated in Q1, Giuliano Alesi (Team TOM'S) will start from 17e position on the grid this Sunday.
