The Carlin team adds a new name to its driver pool for the 2023 FIA season F3 : Ollie Gray. The Briton is promoted by the Williams Racing Academy after a successful F4 campaign, also within Carlin Motorsport: 16 podiums, 2 victories at Silverstone and Croft (United Kingdom), and a vice-championship title behind Alex Dunne (Hitech GP team). He who began the ascent of the pyramid of car in 2021 will be alongside American Hunter Yeany, a 17-year-old Virginia native and 33rd in the FIA F3 championship last season.
« I am very happy to be promoted to F3 with Carlin and to continue my partnership with Williams as a member of the academy, declares the Briton who joined the young driver program of the Grove team (UK) just before the 2022 season. It's going to be a big challenge but I'm looking forward to working on it with the team, with whom I get along very well. Thanks again to Williams and Carlin, I hope we have good results in 2023. »

Its sporting director, Sven Smeets, congratulates Gray on his first year within the structure: “ After a strong season in British F4, we felt it was obvious that Ollie could progress to F3. During this first year, Ollie demonstrated his talent with numerous victories and numerous podiums, but also in his work with the team at Grove. »
The field for the 2023 FIA F3 season is being completed little by little, but the name of who will complete the Carlin team alongside Gray and Yeany is not yet known.
