Pietro Fittipaldi on pole at Motorland Aragon

Pietro Fittipaldi (Lotus) took his 7th pole of the season in World Series Formula V8 3.5 by winning qualifying for Race 1 at Motorland Aragon (Spain). The Brazilian set a time of 1'41''222 ahead of his teammate René Binder, but the Championship leader slipped to 6th place after seeing his best time canceled due to exceeding the track limits.

Egor Orudzhev (SMP Racing by AVF) was the first to take advantage and will thus complete the first row of the grid. The Russian preceded Fortec Motorsports drivers Diego Menchaca and Alfonso Celis Jr.
