Pietro Fittipaldi on pole in Mexico in race 1

Pietro Fittipaldi (Lotus) dominated the qualifying session determining the starting grid for Race 1 of the Formula V8 3.5 in Mexico. For the first visit of the series to the Mexican capital, the Brazilian completed a lap of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in 1'31"382, 380 thousandths ahead of Alex Palou (Teo Martin Motorsport).

Matevos Isakyaan (SMP Racing by AVF) and Alfonso Celis Jr (Fortec Motorsports) will follow on the second row, having finished four and five tenths behind respectively. Konstantin Tereschenko (Teo Martin Motorsport) and Egor Orudzhev (SMP Racing by AVF) will share the third row.
