The promoters of the Formula 3 announced that W Series drivers Abbi Pulling, Chloe Chambers and Tereza Babickova, along with Formula 4 and Formula Regional driver Hamda Al Qubaisi, will take part in a Formula 3 test on September 16-17 at Magny-Cours.
This is the second time that a women's specific test will be carried out in a Formula 3 car. Last season, four female drivers already took part in a similar event, with Dorian Pin notably. These two days of testing are part of a diversity plan within the FIA single-seater pyramid, in order to offer better access to more female drivers.
Each driver will test for a full day, with two cars on track per day. The objective is to introduce them to the category, the car and its different settings. On day one, Abbi Pulling and Hamda Al Qubaisi will take the wheel, while Chloe Chambers and Tereza Babickova will make their F3 debut on day two.

Bruno Michel, CEO of the Formula 2 and Formula 3, was delighted with the organization of these tests. “It is very important for us to ensure that more and more female drivers join our championship. Diversity is one of our main discussions regarding the future of motorsport. We launched these dedicated F3 tests last year, with Nerea Marti, Doriane Pin, Irina Sidorkova and Maya Weug. They all said how beneficial this one-day test was for their understanding of the demands of our championship. We have selected four new drivers for this year. We closely follow not only the W Series, but also female drivers in other categories. »
The French director then added that “The purpose of this test is not to compare performance. This is an opportunity for them to understand what is required of an F3 driver in all aspects. The aim is to prepare them for the challenges when they progress through our league, hopefully in the near future. »
