Sébastien Bourdais (Olympique Lyonnais), who started in second position in the second race at Silverstone, scene of the first round of Superleague Formula, won this second race. The Frenchman escaped from the start and, after refueling, was able to catch Tristan Gommendy (Galatasaray) and Chris Van der Drift (Olympiakos) to fly to an important success. This is OL?s first victory in a Superleague Formula race. Note the fine eighth place of Franck Montagny (Girondins de Bordeaux), who started from the back, not having been able to participate in the first race.
Sébastien Bourdais thus climbs among the six best performers of the weekend and qualifies for the super final.
