Back on track in Hungary, the Formula 3 took part this Friday morning in the one and only free practice session of the weekend. It was the Russian Alexander Smolyar (ART Grand Prix) who was the fastest of the session, ahead of the championship leader Dennis Hauger (Prema) and the German David Schumacher (Trident).
On the French side, Clément Novalak (Trident) finished in a promising 4th place. Victor Martins (MP Motorsport) did not emerge at the same time as his opponents at the end of the session and finished 28th, behind his teammate Reshad de Gerus (Charouz), 24th. For his return to the category, Jake Hughes (Carlin) took 7th place, just behind Frédérik Vesti (ART Grand Prix).
